The first band in Carcaixent was recorded in 1863, but the modern band was formed in 1942 with the fusion of the town's two existing bands - the La Primitiva and the Unió Musical. By 1948, the band was firmly established.
The band has participated in numerous competitions including the Valencia International Music Band Contest, and others in Benifaió, Catarroja, Camp de Criptana, Cullera, and Elda.
A music school, now called the Conservatorio Profesional Mestre Vert, was established by the band in 1979. Two years later, a youth band was formed. The music school was officially recognised in 1995.
The town of Carcaixent awarded the band its gold medal in 1998.
